Current & Barrel Samples
of the next vintage
California Cabernet Sauvignon

Monday, May 12, 2008
1:30 - 5:00 pm
Culinary Institute in St. Helena

Join us for the only comprehensive tasting of California Cabernet available. Nearly 100 wineries will be pouring samples of their current vintage and offering a sneak preview of what's in the barrel for the next vintage. Enjoy this unique opportunity to talk with the winemakers or principals of these wineries in the historic setting of the Culinary Institute at Greystone.

Please join us immediately following the tasting for an elegant dinner downstairs  in the Wine Museum. The CIA chefs will prepare a seasonal menu designed to complement California Cabernets and to showcase a wide variety of local ingredients. See for yourself how some of our older vintages have aged. Dinner will run from 5-9 p.m. Deadline for ticket purchase is May 2, 2008.

SOLD OUT!

The California Cabernet Society is an alliance of wineries committed to expanding worldwide regard and appreciation for California Cabernet Sauvignon.

The California Cabernet Society was founded in 1991 by 40 small wineries for the purpose of promoting Cabernet Sauvignon and educating consumer, trade, and press about the qualities of California Cabernet Sauvignon. Each Spring the Society holds a major Barrel tasting in Northern California, showcasing barrel samples from the most recent vintage. Members of the trade and press are invited to taste and evaluate the promise and excitement of the newest harvest and its potential to develop into outstanding finished wines.
To our knowledge, the California Cabernet Society tasting is the first organized and extensive tasting of the previous Cabernet Sauvignon vintage available to the trade and press.
